The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) observed that religious minority communities lack information and knowledge about social safety nets, government plans, and development-oriented initiatives. Youth lack awareness of the rights framework guaranteed by the Constitution of Pakistan and the protection mechanisms available to ensure the rights and empowerment of religious minorities.
Minority youth needs to be well equipped with the knowledge and skills to advocate for their rights through social action projects and economic empowerment.
The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation, in collaboration with Taiwan Foundation for Democracy provided a platform for underrepresented youth and women from religious minority communities in Province Punjab and through Capacity-building workshops at the district level equipped youth (gender-balanced) with knowledge about fundamental rights, inclusive development, and the empowerment of religious minorities.
