Rehabilitation & Relief Programs Across Pakistan:- Whenever Pakistan/Pakistanis have faced challenging situations we at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) with the support of our friends have been able to reach out and assist wherever assistance is required. In their hour of great despair we were able to pool our resources to make our humble contribution towards helping those whose lives changed forever by a pandemic, famine, floods, earthquakes etc.
Jaranwala Relief Program
With the famine in Tharparkar worsening to dangerous levels; drastically raising the death toll of starving children; Shortage of food and drought left the people of Tharparkar children in particular fighting for their lives.
Over 200 children lost their lives to pneumonia and other illnesses due to malnourishment. Our inability to sit back and watch compelled us at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF)to initiate a relief plan.
It has very often been observed thatthe religious minorities get neglected during relief operations; the Hindu community faced the same fate in Tharparker. Therefore we at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF)along with # Helping Thar were able to dispatch three trucks loads of relief items to Tharparkar, with food supplies along with drinking water for 210 Hindu families, to last a period of one month.

At the point of distribution a Medical Camp was also set up where doctors examined women and children and distributed free medicines to those in need.

The Thar region faces numerous problems, health, hygiene, malnourishment, education etc however one of the most acute problems is that of clean drinking water.
We therefore decided to try to address this problem in whichever minute way we could. We constructed a well providing clean drinking water to the local residents. The well is situated in the Hindu populated village layari, Union Council Jhirmirio, Taluka Diplo district Tharparkar. It facilitates residents and livestock from adjacent areas.
The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) launched a Flood Relief Program to make our humble contribution towards helping those who were incessantly being affected by the ravaging flood waters in Punjab.
Over three hundred people lost their lives in floods caused by torrential monsoon rains in Punjab and more than 2.4 million people were rendered homeless.
We at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Fundation (CICF) were able to reach out to some of the unfortunate families.
We provided food supplies to 70 Christian families in villages around Athara Hazari District Jhang, some of these families had not yet received any aid and are living in extremely dismal circumstances.

Keeping in view the extremely cold and foggy weather conditions in the region; we were able to distributed quilts to some of the effected families from villages around Kamalia District Toba Tek Singh.

When the earth shook on 26th October 2015; it did not only destroy homes but took away precious lives, destroyed families, shattered hopes and dreams.
Our inability to sit back and watch compelled us at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) to launch an Earthquake Relief Program to support the victims of the earthquake which affected the lives of thousands of Pakistanis.

In this hour of great despair we decided to pool our resources to make our humble contribution towards helping those whose lives were shattered on that fateful day.

We were successful in reaching out to 168 families; our team of volunteers travelled to Shangla along with the relief goods. The distribution took place at Thahkot.
With God’s blessings and the generosity of our friends and well-wishers; family packs comprising of blankets/quilts, warm clothing, food supplies and medicines were handed over to the victims who lost their homes and possessions on that dreadful day.

The Nuns, Staff and Students of the Convents of Jesus & Mary Lahore and Murree went out of their way to strengthen our Earthquake Relief Program without their generosity and support none of this would have been possible.

As Pakistan encountered another extremely challenging situation; we as Pakistanis were called upon to unite as a nation and support the victims of the deadly Coronavirus which was affecting the lives of thousands fellow Pakistanis.
The existing pandemic of the Coronavirus compelled us at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) to launch The CICF Coronavirus Awareness and Relief Program to promote safety, awareness and relief amongst the public on the pandemic.

In the first phase of the program our teams distributed masks, gloves, hand sanitizers and soaps amongst the public at various localities of Lahore. They also went door to door highlighting the importance of taking stringent preventive measures.

With God’s blessings and the generosity of our friends we at The Cecil & Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) successfully completed three rounds of relief goods distribution to extremely deserving families suffering the negative impact of the lockdown.
We have provided food supplies to last a period of one month to over 100 families belonging to various impoverished areas of Lahore.

The situation out there was extremely heart wrenching, these are families who live below the line of poverty and now struggle to survive.
Through The CICF Coronavirus Awareness and Relief Program we were able to reach out to the less privileged; the helpless, the starving, the suffering and show them that we care!
We at The Cecil &Iris Chaudhry Foundation (CICF) tirelessly strive to promote the “Principles of Humanity” by reaching out to wipe tears, heal hearts, and restore smiles in the most adverse of circumstances, hence effectively playing their role in making Pakistan a better place for all.
